Check out this book from your library!

I loved this book so much! The plot twists and turns all the time! Took me about 2 1/2 weeks to read.

Obvious Update:

I’m awesome.

That is all.

As we grow up, we learn that the one person who isn’t supposed to let you down, probably will, and the one person you never thought would be there for you, is. You’re going to have fights with your friends, you’re going to lose some of your friends, you may even fall in love with one of your friends. You will eventually lose someone you love and love someone you never thought you’d find. People are going to hate you, love you, love to hate you and hate to love you. But the ones you mean the most to will always be there. Life is too short. So have way to much fun, make way too many mistakes, take way too many pictures, have way too many friends & enemies, laugh way too much for way too long and cry over all the smallest things. But most importantly……love with all you have.

Polychrome Pass

My Vacation

Wow. I just loved hanging out in Anchorage, Alaska with my friend!!! My family stayed downtown, and I slept over at my friend’s for two nights!!! On our last day in Anchorage, my friend, her family, and I climbed Blueberry Hill. That didn’t really seem like a hill! More like a mountain to me…

We hiked up there for awhile, I took pictures every couple minutes. (I’m a true tourist!) Me and my friend ran up pretty close to a moose, but it didn’t charge. We started making moose calls with her brother, but her mom said it sounded like dying animals, and that would attract bears…

After leaving Anchorage, my family headed up to Denali, where we stayed in a cabin-like hotel. (NO WI-FI. OMG!) I took an 8 hour narrated bus ride in Denali National Park. We saw Caribou, Dall Sheep, a wolf, 4 Grizzly Bears, and several moose. I just amazes me at how large this world really is, and how so little time a person has to see it all!

Polychrome Pass was a beautiful sight, with all it’s blends of colors…I’ll put up a picture of it in another post…

We set off back to Anchorage a few days later to catch a bus to the small town where our cruise was taking off from. The Diamond Princess is huge, and extremely hard to memorize! Our ports were Skagway, Juneau, and Ketchican. We went whale watching, and zip-lining, so I am now fearless! (except my arachnophobia, it’s still with me.)

There was this teen club onboard, Remix, as well as a pizza bar, and this guy named Raymond who gives out cookies and milk! Remix was really fun to hang out at, and I made some new friends. (HI THERE!!!)

Our last stop was Vancouver, where me and my family stayed in a suite in UBC.

I don’t want to bore you..so I’ll finish off with saying this:

I LOVED MY SIXTEEN DAY VACATION!!!

Haiku for mountains

Mt. McKinely looms
the large void in the sky; filled.
How I wish to climb!

A truly heart-breaking video. Please help Haiti everyone.

Happy Father’s Day

to all the dads out there!!! Hope your day is special!!!

You can create your own stuffed animal! All of the bodies are shaped the same, but can have different characteristics! I gave mine 3 eyes, a tiger pattern, and a band-aid! :)

Last Night

I heard the patter of raindrops
falling on dry asphalt.
I get up, open the shades,
and sit.

I watch the spots
conquer the blacktop,
and a lone biker
heading for home.
Then the lightning strikes.
Dull light,
far away.

I sit for a while longer, the winds strengthen.
The trees below
bend at Nature’s will,
leaves shaking.

A bright, prominent shard of lightning
drips down from the sky,
as if in slow-motion.
The rain grows heavier,
no longer a small drip.

The fire-hose
sprays my window,
blotting my view
of the outside.

What happens next,
I wouldn’t have known.

For the rain
has blotted out
my window,
my sight to the world.

The trees whisper in my ear,
rustling leaves crush under my paws.
In the distance,
an owl hoots,
alone at night.

My weary legs
drag me along.
Lost. I don’t know
where to go.

Late is the time.
I give up,
fall like a heap,
and curl up.

Stay warm.

Two words
contain my
thoughts
till dawn.

Stay warm.

I lift my head,
my bushy tail
still wrapped
around my body.

It is light,
sun-up.
I made it,
and my pack
is still gone.

One of my favorite Annoying Orange videos!
